Ordering small parts through 100buy, from search box to parcel

What 100buy does with an order for a pack of cord locks or a pair of nose pads: where the count is checked, what a photo can settle, which rules apply, and why a bag of parts should not travel on its own.

100buy in a paragraph

100buy is a shopping agent for Chinese marketplaces. Its search box takes a product link from Taobao, Tmall, 1688, Weidian, JD, Pinduoduo or Xianyu, or an English search; it places the order with the seller and has it delivered to its own warehouse in China, where it is opened, checked and kept until you send it home in a parcel built from everything waiting there. Who operates it is on our about page.

Most of 100buy’s forms (placing an order, submitting a parcel) sit behind a login, so this page works from the public help pages, re-read on 19 October 2026, and from 100buy’s public shipping estimate. Where something could not be checked without an account, we say so. The mark below is 100buy’s own, shown so you know which service is meant; this drawer is not part of it.

How to order a part through 100buy, in the order it happens:

  1. Find the part on a Chinese marketplace, or start from a catalogue shelf, and copy the listing link.
  2. Paste the link into 100buy’s search box (or type an English name) and open the product page it returns.
  3. Pick the option that matches your measurement, set the quantity, and pay. The order form sits behind the login.
  4. The seller posts the part to 100buy’s warehouse, where it is checked and stored with your other items.
  5. When a bigger order has arrived too, submit one parcel with everything in it.

Step 3 is where the measurement from the measuring page earns its keep: the option name on the listing should contain your number, and if it does not, ask before paying rather than after.

A quantity check for parts smaller than a coin

100buy’s Inspection Information page says the warehouse opens each arriving package, then checks the products for quantity, colour, size and other specifications before repacking them in its own bags for storage. For clothes that check is routine. For parts it is the most useful thing the warehouse does, because the classic small-parts failure is a short count: eight cord locks in a pack sold as ten, one nose pad instead of a pair.

The same page leaves the quality, model and parts of electrical, digital and peripheral goods outside the check, which is one reason this drawer does not cover electronic parts. In short: the warehouse can count your parts and compare them with the option you chose. It cannot try them on your coat.

Photos that settle the size of a part

Standard warehouse photos show the item, and a bag of parts photographed from above says little about size: a No. 5 slider and a No. 3, or an 18 mm and a 20 mm spring bar, look identical without a scale beside them. The photo that settles it is usually the one you took yourself, of the old part next to a ruler, held up against whatever the warehouse sends. Look for a size printed on the packet, a label on the bag, or a card the seller tucked in with the option written on it.

When the standard photos still leave the size open, 100buy’s value-added service list offers a Detailed Photo at 1 RMB each, requested with the order or after stock-in, which is the way to get a ruler into the picture. Either way, decide while the part is still at the warehouse: once the parcel has left, the only check that remains is your own, at home, with the coat or the watch in your hand.

Plain hardware with no maker’s mark

Every part in this drawer is plain. A zip pull with a fashion house’s lettering, a button stamped with initials or a buckle cast in a maker’s shape is not a spare part at all: it is a piece of someone else’s trademark, and buying one runs into the same rules as buying a counterfeit bag. 100buy’s Notes Before Purchasing make the position clear in its own terms: goods bought through it must be genuine, counterfeit purchases are not allowed, and it may refuse the order, hold the goods or close the account. Its search box says the same thing when a search looks like a brand-name product:

We’re sorry that we can’t purchase this product for you. The product you searched for might be a professional product or a branded product, and we are unable to verify its authenticity.

Our own rule follows from that: we describe plain parts sold by measurement and nothing else, and we do not explain how to find marked hardware. If a listing photo shows lettering on a part, choose another listing.

Letting small parts travel inside a bigger parcel

Shipping routes can have different minimum charges, weight steps and additional costs. For a light bag of parts, compare the complete quote for sending it alone with the quote for adding it to an eligible parcel. Read the selected route’s actual charge breakdown rather than assuming every route uses the same fixed and fuel charges.

Consolidation is worth pricing when another item is already ready, but the final size, restrictions and weight bracket still matter. Check the current route results for your destination. An old public-estimator example does not establish today’s line availability or the saving from your parcel.

Service fee, exchange rate and payment on a parts order

Service fee first. 100buy’s Service & Fees page says orders from the common shopping platforms carry no handling fee; the order summary before you pay is the place to confirm what you are actually charged. So a parts order costs the part, the seller’s domestic postage to the warehouse, and its share of the international parcel.

Calculate a parts order from the usable quantity: singles, pairs, packs or lengths. Add the actual local postage and compare parcel options using the same route conditions. The parts budget includes conversion once, instead of applying an old rate estimate to today’s differently sized order.

Reading the warehouse photos of a parts bag

How to check the QC photos for a bag of parts: count first, then colour, then size. Count the pieces you can see against the pack quantity in your option; parts photographed in a pile hide each other, so a short count is a reason to raise it with 100buy before anything ships, not a reason to panic. Check the colour against the option you picked, in good light on a screen you trust.

Compare the received count and dimensions with the selected option while the part is in the warehouse. The current return article describes a five-day request period and seller resale conditions. Ask about the exact packaging before opening a sealed pack; do not assume every opened parts packet is automatically ineligible.

Why 100buy for a parts order, and when to buy elsewhere

Begin with the common ground. Every agent in this business does the same three jobs: it pays the seller in China, holds what arrives at its warehouse, and posts it on in parcels you put together. Any agent can buy a pack of cord locks. What touches a parts order at 100buy specifically is the published count check, warehouse photos you can compare with your own measurement, and a per-parcel fixed charge that rewards shipping parts inside something bigger.

That last point is also when another agent fits better: if you already have a parcel waiting at a different agent’s warehouse, buy the part there so it rides along, rather than opening a second parcel for a few grams. Other shopping agents run very similar warehouse menus, so when choosing an agent for parts, judge any of them, 100buy included, on the same things: a published inspection scope, a clear fee page, a named operator, and photos you can actually compare with your measurement. Nothing here ranks agents, and there is no favourite among them.
