Buying replacement parts through 100buy
A practical order walkthrough using a replacement bag buckle. The sequence follows 100buy’s public purchase and warehouse guidance; the example explains decisions rather than promising a particular product or outcome.
01
Identify the part that actually failed
A broken bag buckle does not mean the whole strap needs replacing. Use the drawing to name the piece, then measure the opening, webbing width and attachment. Keep a photograph with a ruler in the same plane. A listing’s overall buckle length is not necessarily the width of strap it accepts.

Measure the mating surface
For a buckle, measure the webbing it accepts, not the outer width of the buckle. For a watch strap, record the lug gap and the attachment type. Photograph the old part beside a ruler with the scale in the same plane; a perspective photograph can make a small part appear a different size.
02
Read the unit sold by the seller
Check whether the offer is for one side, a complete buckle, a pair or a multipack. Save the selected size and finish before opening the link in 100buy. Ask the seller about the exact mating parts if you plan to keep half of the old buckle; similar shapes from different makers may not lock together.
Confirm the selling unit
Read whether the price buys one piece, a pair, a metre or a pack. Record colour, attachment type, size and quantity separately. If a listing mixes several sizes in one kit, ask for the contents of that exact option rather than multiplying the number of parts visible in the promotional picture.
03
Confirm the agent’s order before payment
Verify the loaded seller page, option, unit count and domestic charge. Add a specific request for a ruler photograph or count if you need one, checking the available service and fee first. The order should describe a measurable part, not ask the buyer to guess what fits an unseen bag.
Compare two complete packing scenarios
Ask for the cost of sending the part alone and of adding it to an eligible existing parcel. Compare the final parcel size, weight step and packing cost in each scenario. A small part can still change the shipping bracket; consolidation is a possibility to price, not an automatic saving.
04
Check the received parts while they are in China
Count the pieces and look for the relevant dimensions in the photographs. Ask for missing detail early. A warehouse image can show the opening width or colour; it cannot prove that a buckle is strong enough for a safety-critical use or that a part will fit every brand’s product.
Photograph the dimension that determines fit
Name the inside gap, shaft diameter, tooth width or other actual mating dimension in your request. A photograph of a size sticker only checks the seller’s label. If a tolerance is critical, ask whether the warehouse can provide a reliable measurement; an unreadable ruler image leaves the fit unresolved.
05
Compare small-parcel costs sensibly
A small component still has international postage and packing costs. Compare sending it alone with an eligible combined parcel using the actual quote. Keep tiny items bagged and identifiable so they are not lost when boxes or packaging are removed. Do not treat the price of a single part as its delivered cost.
Do not sacrifice return condition for a trial
Ask about opening a sealed pack before ordering a close-up of its contents. Compare the unused part with the order specification while it is in the warehouse. Drilling, cutting, crimping or sewing a part changes the evidence and may affect the seller’s willingness to accept a return.
06
Keep the old part until the replacement works
Compare dimensions and mating surfaces before cutting webbing or making an irreversible alteration. If the component is wrong, photograph it next to the order record. Avoid relying on an unverified replacement for protective equipment, load-bearing safety gear or electrical repairs.
Trial-fit before a permanent repair
Count the pieces and compare the dimensions at home. Test a removable fit gently before stitching, gluing or trimming. If the connection is safety-critical or supports weight, ask a suitable repair professional; this parts guide does not certify the strength or suitability of replacement hardware.
When the listing and the order disagree
If a buckle does not match the ordered width, show the mating gap against a ruler and the saved specification. If a pack is short, show all pieces and the seller’s unit description. Keep dimensional and quantity disputes separate, and do not cut, glue or drill the replacement while the supplied specification is unresolved.
Check the current service conditions inside 100buy before accepting a paid service, return arrangement or shipping quote. A dated explanation on this guide does not override the order-specific terms shown by the agent.
Questions before the first order
Does the spreadsheet sell the product?
No. It provides a discovery link and buying guidance. The seller supplies the goods, while 100buy handles the agent order and parcel services.
Does a warehouse photo guarantee quality?
It records visible details at that stage. It does not establish hidden materials, long-term durability, personal fit or every function of an item.
Is the product price the delivered total?
No. Account for domestic delivery, international shipping, selected services, payment conversion and any applicable destination charges.
Continue with straps and buckles, zips and closures, 100buy ordering details.
QC: turn a photograph into a decision
For a measured buckle, lace or fastener, start with the selected option and the received item, then examine the detail that decides small replacement parts. In buyer discussions, QC means quality-control photographs; GL and RL are shorthand for a buyer’s acceptance or concern. They are not laboratory results, an agent guarantee or a substitute for your own order instructions.
| What you find | What to establish | What to do next |
|---|---|---|
| A pack contains fewer pieces than expected | Compare the selling unit with the selected quantity. | Ask for a count photo; distinguish a pair from a single piece or mixed pack. |
| The ruler cannot show the internal gap | Name the mating dimension and request a straight-on view. | Keep the fit unknown rather than using the outside width. |
| The part looks right but will need cutting | Compare all dimensions before alteration. | Keep the part unused until the specification and any remedy are settled. |
A detail absent from a photo remains unverified in that photo. It does not prove that a warehouse worker skipped a check. Use the specific help page to name the missing evidence.
Fees, currency and the delivered total
For light parts, price an individual parcel and a combined parcel using the same route conditions. A minimum charge or a weight step can matter more than the part’s own weight.
| Stage | Record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Usable quantity | Selling unit, required count and seller postage | A bag of ten and ten individually priced pieces are different quotes. |
| Verification and packing | Only the deciding measurements, photos and suitable parcel protection | A ruler photo may answer a question that a larger general photo cannot. |
| Delivered cost | Actual converted payment and the applicable parcel minimum/weight step | Compare combined and separate parcels using the same route assumptions. |
For small parts, first establish whether the price buys one piece, a pair, a set or a length. Compare the same usable quantity in CNY and at checkout. Then price the intended parcel: a minimum freight charge can outweigh a tiny difference in conversion. Avoid counting a payment conversion already included in the displayed total a second time.
Read the small replacement parts and agent-service notes before choosing paid options.
When this order needs a response
| Stage | Request or establish | Keep this boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Choosing a listing | Resolve inside versus outside dimensions and whether the price is per piece, pair or length. | Do not order from a familiar part name alone. |
| Purchasing a selected size | Check any seller question about finish, hole spacing or pack size before approval. | Do not let a substitution silently change the mating surface. |
| Warehouse check | Request the deciding dimension and count, with a ruler in the same plane where practical. | Do not infer a small tolerance from a distant perspective photograph. |
| After delivery or a return agreement | Trial-fit gently while keeping the old part and the order evidence; trace any agreed return or credit. | Do not make a permanent alteration before confirming the fit or documenting the discrepancy. |
For official order support, provide the part type, required mating dimension, selected quantity and a clear measurement photograph. Say whether the replacement is unused. Ask for the disputed specification to be checked before asking the agent to choose another apparently similar component for you.
